I come from a different religious background. I work as a labourer in construction sites. One day while returning home after work, I met a stranger who asked me for a lift on my cycle for a short distance. Riding pillion on the bike he began to sing a unique song. I had never heard such a song before.
When I dropped him off, I enquired about it. Apparently, he learnt it in Church and he sang it every day in praise of God. Experience Jesus and you will see changes in your life, he urged, before going on his way. I couldn’t stop thinking about what the stranger said. Reflecting on my life, I realized that my life was full of problems. It lacked peace, hope and security. Recalling that the radio program that the stranger listened to came in the evening, I returned home, and tuned my radio until I got the right frequency. Sitting on my porch, I heard the clear voice. The message that God loves me and is ready to change my life touched a chord.
I desperately wanted to experience Jesus. During the prayer that followed, I joined in and prayed with faith asking God to change me and deliver me from my problems. After several days of listening, I began to see changes in my life. I gave up my bad habits, stopped wasting money and found satisfaction in my job. I was truly experiencing God’s blessings in my life. Now I am able to find work every day. I thank the stranger who introduced me to Upasana through which I came to know about Jesus, my savior and Lord.Satish Kumar, Maharashtra
About a decade ago, there was no electricity in my village in Maharashtra. Soon after work was done for the day children and youth normally engaged in playing a game or two or just sat about chatting. Playing cricket in a makeshift pitch using sticks as their wicket was a favourite among the youth, especially Anosh.
Anosh however, had something else planned for that evening. India and Pakistan were playing a one day international match in...Read more
Why is it that bad habits are so hard to break? They entice you and once you are caught in their tentacles, they hold fast and are difficult to break from. Believe me, I had several of them and they kept me attracted to worldly pleasures, fuelled by feelings of pride, greed and anger.
When I first began listening to the Upasana program, although a believer, I was far from being a true Christian. I was...Read more
When so many deaths occurred in Gopi’s family, owing to snake bite, the relatives were convinced that the family was under a curse. Rather than getting rid of the poisonous reptiles that made their habitat the dense foliage that Kerala is famous for, the relatives simply talked about the problem, wondering who the next victim would be.
It was quite by accident that Gopi met a person who suggested that he listen to the Jeeva Sandesham...Read more

I come from a different faith. I was severely addicted to alcohol for a very long time and used to wander about fully drunk. “Frankly I was tired to R death of my husband going off into the fields to labor all day long. At the end of it, he’d spend all his wages to get really drunk…”

Mr. Rameshbhai S. Raut, Gujarat
While modernized countries might promote reading and writing as sacrosanct, here in the interior villages of western India, little value is placed upon it. I therefore grew up like my tribal family before me, mostly illiterate and often dumb-founded by the topics we heard being discussed as we sat around the village camp fire at night.
An unexpected turn of events, one that I never dreamed of
