About TWR
TWR International began in 1952 and today has its presence in 160 countries and airs programs in more than 225 languages and dialects from 2800 outlets around the world.
TWR in India was established in 1977, broadcasting in 5 languages from a 400 KW AM transmitter in Sri Lanka. TWR-India Board registered Vishwa Vani in 1987 as its field follow-up arm.
Today TWR in India is disseminating the Good News in 65
languages daily for 19.5 hours.
TWR is reaching out to the masses through its systematic verse by verse Bible Study as well as programs that create awareness against the deadly disease of AIDS, programs that target young people and children and teach them Christian character development, women, community and leadership development.
On an average we receive 20,000 responses each month.
Follow-up
The staff in the 25 follow-up centers spread across the country respond to every query of the listeners.
Responses come from rural, urban, educated, uneducated, young and old, male and female, poor and wretched, drug dependant and depressed, blind and illiterate, those in prison and hospitals.
